HP Pistol - hirez

This is a high-powered pistol design for the mod (that will continue to go un-named until the project lead decides to announce anything).

Functionality-wise, it would be like the Desert Eagle (CS) or the Colt Python (Half-life). So it functions as a light sniper weapon.

Pistols are really hard to design in my opinion. With ~200 years of development, this typical sidearm has been simplified down in design as far as it can go. The only difference lately seems to be in accessories or calibers. So, my attempt here was to have a niche weapon.

It is clearly inspired by the Calico series of sub-machine guns. The helical magazine would carry some kind of hi-powered round, and would give you more shots than a Desert Eagle would. The presence of the magazine would make aiming difficult, hence the scope-mount. which is very similar to a camcorder. The camera lense is the opening right above the barrel. The block above is the battery pack that would power the system. The cap in the front covers a socket where a laser could be mounted. This would also draw power from the battery, and would also feed into the scope's interface. A flashlight was also going to be a possibility, but I never got that far. There are very rudimentary sights on the scope if the battery pack ever failed.
The angled grip is based on a target pistol by Beretta, which if you look carefully, you'll notice its hollow. This is where the spent casings are ejected. I figure the oversized base of the grip is weighted to compensate for it being hollow.

This is an updated version of the model, as cocking it was slightly different and did not have a stock. The cocking switch in the front was mostly because I ran out of space to put it anywhere else. The folding stock is help emphasize it as a light sniper weapon.
